Ciao Justass,
Fammi sapere presto.--Chicco2 (talk) 20:57, 3 October 2010 (UTC)Reply
- Hello, images you uploaded to Commons with "Own work" claims comes from different websites like climate4you.com, tucsoncitizen.com, geonet.org.nz and so on. Hola.
Saludos--HalvisC (talk) 22:29, 3 October 2010 (UTC)Reply
- Hello, so called "your images" were collected from all across the web, including File:Cerro Palúa.PNG copied from [1]. User:HalvisC was created on 15'th of July and Halvis 11 days later. There is more than enough to have one account and please concentrate on uploading "Own work" works, not copy/pasting from elsewhere --Justass (talk) 22:53, 3 October 2010 (UTC)Reply
--HalvisC (talk) 20:38, 4 October 2010 (UTC)Reply
- If yuo are the author of File:Cerro Palúa.PNG, please upload full resolution (resolusion lleno) image as a proof. Thank you --Justass (talk) 20:58, 4 October 2010 (UTC)Reply
- No me permite subir imágenes, además no me están solucionando el bloqueo y yo necesito las imágenes borradas y el desbloqueo porque yo edito mucho en wikipedia y necesito ilustrar los artículos. Saludos--HalvisC (talk) 06:25, 6 October 2010 (UTC)Reply

Hello, justass--
I uploaded a photo of Jorge Cruise to American authors on Sept. 29. It was flagged by you for not having proof of the photographer's permission. I've since gotten an e-mail from the photographer which I've forwarded to permissions-commons, but the flag has not been lifted. This is my first submission, so any idea what's still wrong?
Thanks a lot for all of your help,

- Hello, I have answered shortly to your question at File talk:All Hallow's EP.JPG --Justass (talk) 18:25, 8 October 2010 (UTC)Reply
Beyond My Ken and AnonMoos brought this to discussion, and it was not found to be the case. It was made clear that the CC license granted moral rights, and that the statement did refer to moral rights. Some editors had issue with the wording, but there was no decision stating that I was acting outside my rights per the CC. [tk] XANDERLIPTAK 19:15, 8 October 2010 (UTC)Reply
- Your moral rights are not covered by CC. Your "honor or reputation" can be reasonably exercised to the fullest extent permitted by the applicable national law, but only after derivative diminish it, not with prior restriction and only in the way national law cover it. 4(d) So both of your statement about moral right and "negative" content has nothing to do with CC-BY-SA --Justass (talk) 19:24, 8 October 2010 (UTC)Reply
- Um, yeah they are. How about you read the CC? That link says copyright laws "grant creators 'moral rights' which may provide some redress if a derivative work represents a 'derogatory treatment' of the licensor's work" and the [CC license] states towards the bottom of the page that my moral rights are not affected by the license. You are baseless with your claims otherwise. The discussion upheld my moral rights, the license upholds my moral rights, and whatever your opinion is on the matter does not matter because they are my rights and your opinion can not change that. [tk] XANDERLIPTAK 19:38, 8 October 2010 (UTC)Reply
- Again please read license text, moral rights are not covered by the license but may be (or may not) by your national law --Justass (talk) 19:42, 8 October 2010 (UTC)Reply
- They are not mentioned there, but they are here. It states there that my moral rights are not affected by the license. Therefore I have every right to declare them. [tk] XANDERLIPTAK 19:50, 8 October 2010 (UTC)Reply
- Again - Other Rights are nor affected by the license, (that you already released upon). They can or cant be affected by your national law, that can be "reasonably exercised" after your rights are diminished but not otherwise--Justass (talk) 19:56, 8 October 2010 (UTC)Reply
- The license does not affect my other rights, such as my moral rights. Therefore I can exert and have every right to claim my moral rights. Also, it is inappropriate to edit the permission section of images when you do not own the copyright, and also inappropriate to block someone to win an edit dispute. [tk] XANDERLIPTAK 23:10, 8 October 2010 (UTC)Reply
- You can not claim any rights that are in contradiction with The License you already released your images. I see no other means to stop you from edit-waring over and over again, when this issue was already talked and there is clear consensus about "inappropriately" of your additional restrictions --Justass (talk) 23:15, 8 October 2010 (UTC)Reply
My moral rights are not in contradiction to the CC. The CC does not affect my moral rights, and even you have stated that. So, I have every right to claim and assert them. You have issue with how something appears, something that is not for you or Commons to review, because they are my rights. Yet, you take it upon yourself to tell me what I can and can not say in regard to my rights that the CC has no say over.
Also, there was no clear consensus. If it was clear, everyone would have the same answer. The editors didn't. This isn't some editorial dispute, this is about my rights as copyright holder, and a general disapproval about how the first half of a statement reads (ignorein the latter half which affects how the first half reads, mind you) is hardly a clear decision. [tk] XANDERLIPTAK 08:35, 9 October 2010 (UTC)Reply
- So that's why you re-reverted Justass' edits, after he blocked you for doing it the first time? Beyond My Ken (talk) 08:51, 9 October 2010 (UTC)Reply
- You are creepy, stop following me, stop housing me. What I do is none of your business and stop trying to start arguments. I didn't revert his edits, so just go away already. [tk] XANDERLIPTAK 23:47, 9 October 2010 (UTC)Reply

What is wrong with a picture which I have loaded "27osn_Cvetkov.jpg"?
It is my personal work. I haven't broken the right of other persons. The person represented on a picture I knew personally.
It is very necessary for me given images - for use in my article (Кузбасс (спецподразделение))

My article isn't checked up yet, besides article subject - isn't displayed in the searcher.
Please help me with the decision of these problems if you know as...

Dear Justass,
I can't figure out how to fix the licensing for the image on this page..trying to keep it from being deleted. I understand no fair use claims are accepted, but none of the other options make sense to me. Tried to ask question at licensing page, but can't figure that out either. If the image is a publicity still, available on the movie website for download, what should it's licensing be, if not fair use?
Thanks~

Hi Justass,
As posted in the Village pump I've created a tool enabling us to mark uploads as patrolled systematically with ability to cut out timeframes with From: and Until: stamps, and ability to Hide already patrolled uploads. I noticed you were previously active or interested in this and invite you to install the userscript and continue this way. See also COM:RUP. If not already request patroller right and confirm your Wikimedia account with the Toolserver as this is required. Feel free to contact me with any questions or feedback on my talk page, in the Village pump post or report bugs on the Tools feedback page –Krinkletalk 16:49, 7 November 2010 (UTC)Reply

For futher reference please see Commons:Image_casebook. As an alternative you can use maps from http://www.openstreetmap.org/.-Justass (talk) 17:11, 19 August 2012 (UTC)Reply

Thanks for uploading File:Oph1622.jpg. I notice that the file page either doesn't contain enough information about the license or it contains contradictory information about the license, so the copyright status is unclear.
If you created this file yourself, then you must provide a valid copyright tag. For example, you can tag it with {{self|GFDL|cc-by-sa-all}} to release it under the multi-license GFDL plus Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike All-version license or you can tag it with {{PD-self}} to release it into the public domain. (See Commons:Copyright tags for the full list of license tags that you can use.)
If you did not create the file yourself or if it is a derivative of another work that is possibly subject to copyright protection, then you must specify where you found it (e.g. usually a link to the web page where you got it), you must provide proof that it has a license that is acceptable for Commons (e.g. usually a link to the terms of use for content from that page), and you must add an appropriate license tag. If you did not create the file yourself and the specific source and license information is not available on the web, you must obtain permission through the VRT system and follow the procedure described there.
Note that any unsourced or improperly licensed files will be deleted one week after they have been marked as lacking proper information, as described in criteria for deletion. If you have uploaded other files, please confirm that you have provided the proper information for those files, too. If you have any questions about licenses please ask at Commons:Village pump/Copyright or see our help pages. Thank you.

Some contents have been listed at Commons:Deletion requests so that the community can discuss whether they should be kept or not. We would appreciate it if you could go to voice your opinion about this at their entry.
If you created these pages, please note that the fact that they have been proposed for deletion does not necessarily mean that we do not value your kind contribution. It simply means that one person believes that there is some specific problem with them, such as a copyright issue. Please see Commons:But it's my own work! for a guide on how to address these issues.
Please remember to respond to and – if appropriate – contradict the arguments supporting deletion. Arguments which focus on the nominator will not affect the result of the nomination. Thank you!

Hello Justass. You are receiving this message as a license reviewer. As you know, OTRS processes a large amount of tickets relating to image releases (called "permissions"). As a license reviewer, you may have the skills necessary to contribute to this team. If you are interested in learning more about OTRS or to volunteer please visit Meta-Wiki. Tell your friends! Hello Justass,
unfortunally I dont understand the copyright of your picture "chufa.jpg". Could you please explain to me how it is supposed to use ? There is something said about a watermark, but I cant find one. It would be very nice because its a nice picture.
Greetings from Germany
- Hello, I am not the author of this photo. The only alteration I made was to remove watermark at the bottom from the original image. You can see previous version of the same plant here. About licensing please see just below the picture where it says "the authors grant permission to copy and use the image with the sole restriction of giving a mention to the photographer (in this case, dr. Stanley Kays)". Generally you can use image for what ever purpose you like including commercial one or alter image in any way as long as dr. Stanley Kays is attributed. --Justass (talk) 20:35, 6 March 2017 (UTC)Reply

Hello Justass.
Your map https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Free_City_of_Danzig#/media/File:Gdansk_Bay_Borderlines_1939_English.svg shows the territory of Weimar Germany or the Weimar Republic as German Empire in the mainland and East Prussia. This is inaccurate. While the Weimar Republic was known in German as Deutsches Reich, this translates as 'German Realm' not German Empire. The usual German word for empire is Kaisertum. The German Empire (1871-1918) that was abolished at the end of World War 1 was known, in German, as Deutsches Kaiserreich. The most accurate name for interwar Germany is simply 'Germany'. Could you rename the German Empire citations on the map as Germany? You could technically also rename the citations as German Realm - which is accurate but less common. Many thanks. --IACOBVS (talk) 10:53, 3 June 2019 (UTC)Reply
