2) Weddings have a lot of couples saying “I do” to debt. With the estimated cost of the average American wedding ballooning to $30k, 30%-45% of newly married couples in the US took on debt to pay for their big day. Helping to drive up the average: the 13k+ US weddings that cost $1m+ last year.
