This is a place where users can communicate with administrators, or administrators with one another. You can report vandalism, problematic users, or anything else that needs an administrator's intervention. Do not report child pornography or other potentially illegal content here; e-mail legal-reportswikimedia.org instead. If reporting threatened harm to self or others also email emergencywikimedia.org.

Delete conversation

Someone reached out to me to request that I remove the geolocation of a photo; but then they posted on my talk page using their IP address. Could we delete the entire conversation in the interest of their privacy? And perhaps a more permanent delete of the geodata is also possible. Supress file description of Flickr import File:Mamang Sorbetero.jpg

File:Mamang Sorbetero.jpg may be an appropriately-licensed Flickr import, but its description isn't. It is a verbatim copy of lyrics of famous Filipino song Mamang Sorbetero by Celeste Legaspi, from 1979 (see w:en:Celeste Legaspi#Singles). Yes, FlickreviewR 2 had to be restarted on 2024-02-18, 2024-03-11, 2024-03-13, 2024-04-04, 2024-05-31, and now on 2024-08-18. No idea what causes it to get stuck. Bot author is no longer active. // sikander { talk } 🦖 12:54, 19 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Vandal IDs

There were huge vandal IDs were blocked from ta.wiki and some there are blocked in Commons and you may find some CheckUsers at Meta. There are one and two. Same user's another ID which is blocked in ta.wiki continues here. Related IDs and all are blocked in ta.wiki some might missed: AntanO2, Chilli Soonyam, Dhairya Notosri, Naughty Nightingale, Neha Xorg, Neoshine, Neoshine K.Sreeram Official, Sanuthi Aahidya, Sanuthi Linux, Selvasivagurunathan m2, Shanvika Drake, Sridhar G1, Ubishini, Urmila Pardus, VAW 2404, Veraswini, Wikishini, க.சிறீராம், பவி தமிழ். Here is the full list of same user/s who engage in vandal and vulgar language use since February. So many IPs too that were blocked in ta.wiki. Some IDs are imitating as sysop user & bot IDs in ta.wiki.

User repeatedly posts copyvios after having been warned

Bha.p (talk · contributions · Move log · block log · uploads · Abuse filter log) block user seems unwilling or unable to learn what individual Wikimedia sister projects are and has already been blocked (by me) at mul.ws for posting out of scope noise and copy/pasting modules and templates from en.wp without attribution. Policy in terms of sockpuppetry

Dear all,

I tried to look for the Commons policy in terms of sockpuppetry but I could not locate it. This query comes as it has been disclosed here the accounts @محمد أمين الطرابلسي (created in 2017 but indefinitely blocked in 2022) and @JUVENISTA (created in 2018) belong to the same person. The Meta CheckUser policy--mandatory for, and applicable to, all projects--includes "Note that alternative accounts are not forbidden, so long as they are not used in violation of the policies". The Commons does not currently require disclosure as long as the accounts are not used disruptively. Disruptive use (i.e., "abuse" rather than mere "use"), however, is explicitly disallowed by the blocking policy. Эlcobbola _talk 18:56, 20 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
